We started CoHire in Parramatta after watching families buy things they'd use once. Our neighbourhood already had everything - it just needed a safe, simple way to share it.

Questions, answered
Yes. Keep the hire on CoHire. Payments go through Stripe, so you do not need to collect cash or a bond in person. Your payout is released after the hire is complete and the dispute window has passed. If you collect a bond outside CoHire checkout, CoHire Protection does not cover that bond dispute.
Bookings and payments stay on the platform. Members can verify their phone number, and many also complete ID verification. Profiles, reviews, and booking history help you choose with confidence.

Listing is free. A small 5% service fee may apply at checkout and is shown before anyone pays. After a successful hire, owners pay a 5% success fee from earnings. No surprise fees beyond what checkout and Earnings show. Live rates are in the Terms & conditions.
Message the other person first - many issues clear up that way. If you still need help, raise a dispute from the booking or chat and include secured proof. Renters are responsible for looking after the gear. CoHire may try to recover reasonable amounts from the saved payment method, and limited platform support may apply under Lender platform support. This is not insurance.
Yes. CoHire is built for trade, site, and business hire as well as one-off jobs. Book the gear you need, pay on the platform, then pick up locally - or use delivery if the listing offers it.
Reach local businesses and trades without handling cash or chasing invoices. Bookings, messaging, and payouts stay on the platform, with fees shown clearly before anyone pays.
Owners and renters can cancel from the booking details before the hire begins. The app shows any refund or fee before you confirm, depending on timing and who cancels.
If you cannot resolve an issue directly, either party can raise a dispute through CoHire from the booking page or chat. Include photos, messages, and booking details so our team can review the case and help both sides work toward a fair outcome.
